Skin care products continue to make up a sizable portion of the American hygiene and cosmetics market, as they did in the past. When it comes to skin lotions, powders, creams, bleaches, ointments, and cleansers, the claims made are more ambiguous than those made for most other beauty products. It's common for product claims to enhance or safeguard skin health to include an explicit or implicit guarantee that the skin will appear better as well—smoother, cleaner, whiter, clearer, and glowing. As health and beautiful skin are synonymous, it is nearly hard to separate the two. Similarly, beauty goods and health claims cannot be separated.
